Wat ik mooi vind aan The Lakes, is dat ze de laatste jaren echt een eigen stijl hebben neergezet. Moderne presentatie, rijke smaakprofielen en whisky die luxe aanvoelt, maar nog steeds genoeg karakter heeft. En eerlijk, English whisky blijft gewoon leuk om in de gaten te houden. Het heeft nog niet die eeuwenlange geschiedenis van Scotch whisky, maar juist daardoor gebeurt er veel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-slideshow aligncenter\" data-effect=\"slide\" swiper-pagination-white\"><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Nieuwe idee\u00ebn, andere keuzes en distilleerderijen die niet alleen nadoen, maar hun eigen richting zoeken. Velocity past daar goed bij. Een limited release. Een nieuw design. En weer zo\u2019n fles die meteen de aandacht trekt als je Engelse whisky en nieuwe whisky releases volgt. Official tasting notes:<br><br><strong>Nose<\/strong>:<br>Rijk en uitnodigend, met gedroogd fruit, warme kruiden, vanille en een vleugje gepolijst eikenhout.<br><br><strong>Palate<\/strong>:<br>Gelaagd en rond, met donker fruit, karamel, baking spices en zachte houtinvloeden.<br><br><strong>Finish<\/strong>:<br>Warm en soepel, met aanhoudende kruiden, zoetheid en zacht eikenhout.<br><br>Engelse whisky voelt misschien nog jong naast Scotch whisky, maar dat maakt het juist spannend. Er is ruimte om te bewegen, te proberen en een eigen verhaal te bouwen.
