Drie nieuwe releases van The Glasgow Distillery Company en dit is zo\u2019n drop die meteen opvalt. Niet omdat het schreeuwt\u2026 maar omdat het duidelijk doordacht is. Deze Small Batch Series draait om cask exploration, maar wel met structuur. Drie stijlen. Drie richtingen. Allemaal vanuit dezelfde basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
White Port Cask Finish (53.3%) de frisse, fruitige kant<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amarone Cask Finish (53%) dieper, rijker, meer rood fruit<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Passito di Caluso Cask Finish (57.8%) Wat hier interessant is, is de aanpak. De vaten lijken niet alles over te nemen, maar eerder iets toe te voegen. Een laag bovenop de spirit, in plaats van het te overheersen. Tenminste\u2026 zo leest het op basis van de specs en stijl. Alle drie limited releases, natural colour en non chill filtered. Precies in lijn met hun moderne en transparante manier van whisky maken. En eerlijk\u2026 dit voelt als een serie voor mensen die willen vergelijken. Zelfde distilleerderij, verschillende vaten, totaal andere uitkomsten. Nog niet geproefd\u2026 maar dit is wel zo\u2019n release die je naast elkaar wilt zetten.
