Nieuwe Infrequent Flyers Batch 20 \u2013 single malt Scotch whisky release met cask strength Speyside en Highland whisky\u2019s van 9 tot 32 jaar oud, met unieke wijnvat finishes en gelimiteerde single cask bottelingen. Zeven vaten. Zeven verschillende sferen in het glas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Deze begint hoog met de Glen Keith 1993 (32 jaar)\u2026 elegant, klassiek Speyside, zo\u2019n whisky die niet hoeft te schreeuwen om op te vallen. Daarna verschuift het langzaam.
De Allt-a-Bhainne 2005 (Valpolicella finish) brengt een rijkere, wijnachtige laag\u2026 terwijl de Mannochmore 2008 (Ruby Port cask) het juist sappig en speels houdt. Halverwege wordt het zachter.
De Glenrothes 2009 (Moscatel finish) gaat richting patisserie en romigheid\u2026 en direct daarna duikt de Dufftown 2010 (PX finish) de diepte in. Donkerder, rijker\u2026 echt dessert in een glas.
En net als je denkt dat je de route doorhebt\u2026 komen de Highlands erbij. De Deanston 2012 (PX finish) brengt structuur, kruidigheid en balans\u2026 waarna de Loch Lomond Inchfad 2016 (Virgin Oak, peated) alles omgooit. Licht rokerig, een tikje wild, en precies wat deze batch spannend houdt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Van tropisch fruit en honing naar pure chocolade, rood fruit, kruiden en een subtiele rook\u2026 deze batch blijft bewegen. Independent bottlers houden whisky interessant. Niet voorspelbaar\u2026 maar ontdekbaar. Dus ja\u2026 met welke stap jij als eerste aan boord?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
