Lindores Abbey Distillery, een van de spirituele bakermatten van Scotch whisky, ontmoet North Star Spirits, bekend om hun gedurfde en compromisloze vatselecties. Geschiedenis en moderne independent bottling botsen hier frontaal\u2026 op de best mogelijke manier. Het resultaat? Onderdeel van de Obscurities &amp; Curiosities-serie van North Star Spirits: een reeks die draait om bijzondere, karaktervolle en soms licht bizarre vaten die zich moeiteloos onderscheiden van de massa\u2026 precies zoals deze. 6 jaar oude single malt Scotch whisky Peated Pedro Xim\u00e9nez hogshead 60% ABV. Gedistilleerd juli 2019 \u2013 Gebotteld maart 2026.<br><br>Deze whisky voelt alsof je een licht surrealistische wereld binnenstapt\u2026 alsof die clown op het label al iets weet wat jij nog moet ontdekken.<br><br><strong>Neus<\/strong>:<br>Zachte turfrook met een licht zilte rand en direct een vleugje tabak. Niet zwaar, niet agressief\u2026 precies genoeg om je naar binnen te trekken. Daarna neemt de PX het over met rozijnen, vijgen en diepe donkere zoetheid, gevolgd door espresso, leer en een hint van gebrande suiker. Die lichte zoute rook blijft erdoorheen zweven\u2026 en geeft het geheel een subtiele, bijna maritieme twist.<br><br><strong>Smaak<\/strong>:<br>Volle kracht op 60%, maar verrassend beheerst. Asachtige rook, warme specerijen en daarna een diepe golf van PX-rijkdom. Zwarte kersen, stroop en pure chocolade, met gestoofd fruit op de achtergrond. Een prachtige balans tussen zoet, rokerig en licht hartig.<br><br><strong>Afdronk<\/strong>:<br>Lang, verwarmend en licht olieachtig. Aanhoudende rook, donker gedroogd fruit en sherryzoetheid die langzaam vervagen in cacao, zwarte peper en die subtiele zoet-zoute touch\u2026 waardoor je automatisch nog een slok wilt nemen. Damn\u2026 wat een dram. Net zo eigenzinnig als het label<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rijk, gelaagd, licht zilt, subtiel rokerig\u2026 en precies vreemd genoeg om je bij te blijven. Niet te lang nadenken\u2026 deze is weg voordat je het doorhebt. En dat label\u2026 je houdt ervan of je blijft er net iets te lang naar staren. Die clown?
