Soms draagt whisky meer dan alleen smaak. Soms draagt het geschiedenis. Deze fles is T\u00e1cnbora Batch 04, geblend in Northumberland in het noorden van Engeland. De naam wordt uitgesproken als Tak-en-bora en komt uit het Oudengels, met de betekenis \u201cbanierdrager\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die wordt rond 2026 verwacht. Tot die tijd wijst deze blend de weg.
Batch 04 combineert Ierse en Schotse whisky\u2019s, geblend in Northumberland en gebotteld op 42,7% alcohol. Eerdere batches wonnen zelfs een zilveren medaille bij de International Wine & Spirits Competition 2024, wat laat zien dat dit jonge Engelse whiskyhuis al iets goeds in handen heeft.
In het glas is het een toegankelijke maar karaktervolle dram.
Neus<\/strong>:
Frisse citrus, groene appel en graantoetsen. Op de achtergrond wat vanille, een peperige hint en een vleugje bittere sinaasappelschil.
Smaak<\/strong>:
Gekaramelliseerde granen met kaneel, een amandelachtige zoetheid, eikenkruiden en zachte vanille.
Finish<\/strong>:
Medium lang, met gedroogd fruit en zachte specerijen, zoete vanille en een klein beetje gemberwarmte.
