Wat Fuji zo tof maakt is hun \u201cone roof\u201d aanpak: mashen, vergisten, distilleren, rijpen, blenden en bottelen gebeurt allemaal op dezelfde plek. Geen voorraadhandel. Geen \u201cJapans-achtig\u201d gedoe. Daardoor krijgen ze een spectrum aan stijlen:<br>\u2022 Light-type (Scotch-stijl grain)<br>\u2022 Medium-type (Canadian-stijl grain)<br>\u2022 Heavy-type (Bourbon-stijl)<br>Precies d\u00e1t geeft Master Blender Jota Tanaka een enorme \u201ckleurenwaaier\u201d om mee te werken: hij bouwt met whisky die onder hetzelfde dak is gemaakt, in plaats van alles bij elkaar te puzzelen van elders. Fingers crossed dat ze snel in meer landen opduiken.
