Van gerstveld tot koperen ketel. Van vat tot glas. Dit is een echte barley-to-bottle distilleerderij, en dan ook echt in de letterlijke zin. Alles gebeurt op hun eigen plek, met volledige controle over het proces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n\n\n\nDe distilleerderij ligt op een 300-acre familieboerderij in Perthshire, vlakbij Perth, precies op de rand van de Highlands en Lowlands. Distilleren doen ze daar sinds 2017, en de offici\u00eble inaugural single malt release staat gepland voor maart 2026. De gerst voor deze eerste botteling groeit op hun eigen land, met Golden Promise en Laureate. Daarna rijpt de whisky op first-fill bourbon- en sherryvaten, en wordt hij gebotteld op 48,2% ABV, non-chill filtered en met natuurlijke kleur. Geen cosmetische trucs. Wat ik persoonlijk ook sterk vind: het hands-on stuk. Ze houden het bottelen in-house. Van het handmatig controleren van vaten tot het zorgvuldig labelen en sealen van elke fles. Er zit iets moois in dat tempo: ervaring, geduld en precisie, helemaal tot aan het laatste detail. Ook het design ademt dat verhaal. Reli\u00ebfglas. Een horizonlijn ge\u00efnspireerd op glooiende Schotse gerstvelden. Diepe groentinten die agrarisch aanvoelen in plaats van \u2018luxe om de luxe\u2019. Het oogt geworteld. Eerlijk.
