Lochlea komt met hun oudste Single Estate release tot nu toe, en eerlijk: dit voelt als zo\u2019n fles die je meteen op je \u201c23 januari\u201d-radar zet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lochlea 7 Year Old Single Estate
Beschikbaar vanaf: 23 januari 2026

Gebouwd op \u00e9\u00e9n idee: alles op eigen grond. Gegroeid, gedistilleerd en gerijpt bij Lochlea Distillery (onafhankelijk en familiegerund) in Ayrshire, Schotland. Dit is een gelimiteerde 7 jaar oude single malt, volledig gerijpt op locatie en exclusief afkomstig uit 7 handgeselecteerde first-fill bourbonvaten die in 2018 zijn gevuld.

Waarom dit een mijlpaal is
Dit is de oudste Lochlea release tot nu toe, en volgens de distillery zelf ook hun rijkste, romigste en meest complexe age statement die ze hebben uitgebracht, maar nog steeds met die herkenbare Lochlea-fruitigheid.

Distillery Manager Darren McCormick benadrukt dat zeven jaar rijping voor een jonge distilleerderij echt een groot moment is: de vaten lagen sinds 2018 rustig te rijpen, en juist het samenbrengen (\u201cmarrying\u201d) van die zeven bourbonvaten zou zorgen voor een whisky die weelderig \u00e9n mooi in balans is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Botteling: 50% ABV Non-chill filtered & natural colour (dus geen koude filtering en geen kleurstof)

Neus:
Mooi romig, met fruitige gestoofde appel \u2022
Smaak:
Rijk en romig, tropisch fruit, een vleugje appel, fris eikenhout

Finish:
Boterig gebak, cereal\/moutige tonen, verwarmende kruiden, fris-zure groene appel De 7 bourbonvaten (karakter per vat)

Vat 99 (first-fill bourbon): zoete ananastaartjes
Vat 103: zoet, romig, fruitig
Vat 104: sappig, tropisch fruit
Vat 105: poedersuiker, eik, peer
Vat 107: eik, vanille, custard
Vat 108: perzik, cereal, eik
Vat 109: appel, cereal, room<\/p>\n<\/div>

Kortom: Lochlea pakt uit met een 7-jarige die all-in gaat op first-fill bourbon: tropisch fruit, patisserie vibes, custard-vanille, en dat frisse groene-appel randje dat het spannend houdt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
