Wolfburn Distillery lanceert Anniversary Series 2026: 12 jaar oude Single Cask op cask strength<\/strong>
Thurso, Schotland \u2013 Wolfburn Distillery kondigt met trots de Anniversary Series 2026 aan: een 12 jaar oude Single Malt Scotch Whisky, gebotteld op natuurlijke vatsterkte van 55,2% ABV.
Deze exclusieve single cask release is verkrijgbaar vanaf maandag 19 januari 2026, in aanloop naar Burns Night. De Anniversary Series wordt jaarlijks uitgebracht en markeert een belangrijk moment in de geschiedenis van Wolfburn: 25 januari 2013, de dag waarop voor het eerst opnieuw spirit door de stills vloeide na de heroprichting van de distilleerderij. De 2026-editie viert daarmee 13 jaar Wolfburn spirit en vormt de vierde release binnen deze inmiddels zeer gewilde reeks.
Voor deze editie werd na uitgebreide rijping en proefselectie gekozen voor Single Cask No. 811, gevuld in december 2013. Het whiskyvat rijpte 12 jaar in Warehouse No. 1 en leverde een totale oplage op van 874 flessen. De whisky is non chill-filtered en heeft een natuurlijke kleur.
Het gebruikte vat betreft een ex Oloroso sherry butt, wat resulteert in een rijk en vol smaakprofiel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>Volgens de offici\u00eble proefnotities opent de whisky met zoete tonen van golden syrup op toast en zachte eik.
In de mond is hij diep en romig, met een intensiteit die doet denken aan PX-gerijpte whisky\u2019s, met smaken van dadels, rozijnen, stroop en melasse, verweven met Wolfburns kenmerkende zachte florale tonen.
