Watt Whisky 16th Release is het nieuwste hoofdstuk van onafhankelijk bottelaar Watt Whisky, opgericht door Kate & Mark Watt, samen goed voor meer dan 40 jaar ervaring in de Schotse whiskywereld. Hun filosofie is heerlijk simpel en eerlijk: bottel whisky omdat het gewoon verdomd goed smaakt. Is het een kwaliteitsdistillaat, goed gerijpt op vat, dan verdient het een plek in een fles. Of dat nu single malt is, blended malt, of iets daar tussenin.
Watt Whisky is trots gevestigd in Campbeltown, Schotland. E\u00e9n van de meest historische whiskyplaatsen ter wereld. Ooit telde het stadje meer dan 35 distilleerderijen en nog steeds is Campbeltown een van de meest karaktervolle regio\u2019s binnen Scotch whisky. Kate en Mark kozen Campbeltown niet alleen omdat het hun thuis is, maar omdat ze actief willen bijdragen aan de whisky cultuur, de beleving voor bezoekers \u00e9n de lokale gemeenschap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De 16e release bestaat uit vijf kleine batches, geselecteerd om de regionale diversiteit van Highlands, Speyside, Islay en Campbeltown te laten zien. Alles gebotteld op vatsterkte of batchsterkte, in zeer beperkte oplages.
BENRINNES 2012 \u2013 13 jaar | 58% ABV | 318 flessen
Bourbonvat, daarna 21 maanden gefinisht in een Armagnac hogshead. Smaaknotities: appelcrumble, vanillecustard, meloen, lychee, toffee shortbread.
BUNNAHABHAIN \u201cSTAOISHA\u201d 2019 \u2013 6 jaar | 57,1% ABV | 330 flessen
Geturfde Islay whisky uit een sherry hogshead. Smaaknotities: rokerige BBQ-saus, droge as, sherryzoetheid, aardbeien, frambozen, donkere kersen.
CAMPBELTOWN BLENDED MALT 2016 \u2013 9 jaar | 57,1% ABV | 252 flessen
Campbeltown blended malt uit een bourbon barrel. Smaaknotities: bosbessenmuffins, gezouten karamel, kiezelstranden, grasachtige frisheid, cr\u00e8me br\u00fbl\u00e9e, nougat.
INCHGOWER 2012 \u2013 13 jaar | 58,3% ABV | 258 flessen
Speyside single malt uit een bourbon hogshead. Smaaknotities: perziken op siroop, romige honingraat, zachte munt, grote golven butterscotch.
ROYAL BRACKLA 2014 \u2013 11 jaar | 57,2% ABV | 288 flessen
Highland single malt uit een bourbon hogshead. Smaaknotities: Peach Melba, bananensnoepjes, bubblegum, sappig fruit, een warme toets van brandy.
