{"id":2890,"date":"2025-12-04T10:43:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T09:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thedutchwhiskyassociation.nl\/?p=2890"},"modified":"2025-12-04T10:43:30","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T09:43:30","slug":"whisky-1901-the-collection-release-no-2-jura-25y","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thedutchwhiskyassociation.nl\/index.php\/2025\/12\/04\/whisky-1901-the-collection-release-no-2-jura-25y\/","title":{"rendered":"Whisky 1901 \u2013 The Collection (Release No. 2) &#8211; Jura 25y"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>persbericht<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>door Jan Smits<\/em><br><br>Dit is geen alledaagse Jura, maar een zeldzame Isle of Jura 25-year-old single cask \u2013 gebotteld op natural cask strength (54,7% ABV), non-chill filtered en op natuurlijke kleur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E\u00e9n van de heel weinige 25 jaar oude Jura single malts die ooit op volle sterkte zijn uitgebracht, en de tweede release in de reeks van Whisky 1901 \u2013 The Collection.<br>Gedistilleerd op het afgelegen eiland Jura in 1998 en 25 jaar later gebotteld voor Whisky 1901, laat deze island single malt prachtig zien wat geduldige rijping en zilte zeelucht met een whisky kunnen doen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1280 \/ 720;\" width=\"1280\" controls src=\"https:\/\/www.thedutchwhiskyassociation.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/R5A16bTh.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Neus<\/strong>:<br>Heldere citrus \u2013 sinaasappelschil, gekonfijte citroen en een vleugje grapefruit \u2013 gevolgd door vanillestokje, honingraat en romige fudge. Zachte bourbonhoutkruiden, kokosschaafsel en een subtiele kusttoon, alsof zeezout op warme keien slaat.<br><br><strong>Smaak<\/strong>:<br>Ondanks de 54,7% ABV krachtig \u00e9n prachtig in balans. Olie-achtige, mondvullende structuur met golven van rijpe citrus, boomgaardfruit en zoete mout. Romige toffee en acaciahoning omarmen gember, kaneel en witte peper, met een fijne ziltige rand \u2013 klassieke island whisky met bourbon-barrel zoetheid.<br><br><strong>Afdronk<\/strong>:<br>Lang, elegant en ingetogen intens. Een glas waar je uren mee bezig kunt zijn: eerst de heldere citrus en vanille, daarna honing, fudge en kokos, dan de warme kruiden en telkens weer die rustige, kustachtige Jura-noot op de achtergrond. Elke keer dat je opnieuw ruikt of nipt, laat hij een andere kant zien.
