{"id":2729,"date":"2025-10-23T14:09:35","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T12:09:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thedutchwhiskyassociation.nl\/?p=2729"},"modified":"2025-10-23T14:09:44","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T12:09:44","slug":"millstone-special-no-37-20-years-old-virgin-american-oak-rye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thedutchwhiskyassociation.nl\/index.php\/2025\/10\/23\/millstone-special-no-37-20-years-old-virgin-american-oak-rye\/","title":{"rendered":"Millstone Special No. 37 \u2013 20 Years Old Virgin American Oak Rye"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>blog<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>door Jan Smits<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tijdens The Art of Drinks in Amsterdam werd de nieuwe Millstone Special No. 37 gepresenteerd \u2014 een 20 jaar oude rye whisky van Zuidam Distillers, volledig geproduceerd in Baarle-Nassau.<br><br>Deze bijzondere expressie werd gedistilleerd op 11 januari 2005 en rijpte gedurende twee decennia in een Virgin American Oak-vat (#693).<br>De whisky is op 20 augustus 2025 gebotteld op vatsterkte (48,8%), non chill-filtered en zonder kleurstoffen.<br>De oplage is beperkt tot slechts 135 flessen. De Special No. 37 toont de kracht van traditioneel Nederlands vakmanschap: een complexe, kruidige rye met rijke tonen van karamel, honing, geroosterd eikenhout en een subtiel rokerige toets.
