Deze gelimiteerde release rijpte 17 jaar in ex-bourbonvaten en kreeg daarna nog eens 4 jaar mee in een geturfde cask. Het resultaat? Lagen vol smaak die verrassend \u00e9n belonend zijn. Laat je niet foppen door het woord peated op het label \u2013 dit is geen Islay-kanon. De rook is subtiel, meer een zachte herinnering dan een krachtpatser, vooral merkbaar wanneer het glas leger wordt en een lichte waas achterlaat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoete honing, eiken\u00adkruiden, noten, rijpe appels, een vleugje zee, kruidnagel en sappig fruit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Olieachtig en vol, met zoute salmiaksnoepjes, karamel, aardse tonen, plakkerig teer en zoet hout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Medium tot lang, sticky en rijk, met donkere chocolade, gebrande koffie, eikenkruiden en \u2013 helemaal op het eind \u2013 een fluistertje van asrook en zachte bitterheid.
Wat een eer om deze dram te mogen proeven. Het heeft wat voeten in de aarde gehad om deze sample hier te krijgen, maar elke stap was het meer dan waard. Dik van structuur, met prachtige tranen in het glas.
