Dit is Unkiltered\u2019s \u201cThe Vagabond\u201d \u2013 een 12 jaar oude Teaninich die ruikt als een dessert, smaakt als vloeibare troost, en eindigt als de aftiteling van een film waar je nog lang niet klaar mee was. Even eerlijk: ik ben zo\u2019n type dat nooit etiketten leest (er stond Apfelstrudel), instructies negeert en z\u2019n eigen appeltaart koopt van z\u2019n zakgeld \u2013 want ik ben volwassen en ik verdien leuke dingen. En veel te lui om zelf een tarte tatin te bakken met dit weer. Dus toen ik deze fles opende, verwachtte ik geen gebaksexplosie. Maar holy tarte tatin \u2013 deze dram verraste me op de best mogelijke manier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alsof iemand een tarte tatin langzaam heeft gegaard in een sherry-bodega. Stroperige appel, warme taartkorst, rozijnen, geroosterde amandelen, bruine suiker \u2013 en ergens op de achtergrond een hint van een oude leren fauteuil. Virgin oak brengt zaagsel-swag en specerijen-charme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dessertbuffet zonder schuldgevoel. Gebakken appels, honing, toffeesaus, gekonfijte sinaasappelschil, en alle feestelijke kruidencake-vibes waarvan je niet wist dat je ze nodig had. Sherry geeft \u2018m rijkdom. Virgin oak geeft \u2018m ritme. Kaneel, kruidnagel, getoast eiken\u2026 dit is een warme knuffel in dramvorm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit is niet zomaar een whisky.
