Een whisky die bijna vier decennia nodig had om ons te bereiken. En eerlijk? Elke minuut was het waard. Gedistilleerd in 1985 \u2013 een periode vol onzekerheid op Islay. De productie ging omlaag, er stonden grote veranderingen op komst. Maar ergens diep in een rustige warehouse begon iets bijzonders te rijpen. Jarenlang bewaakt door toegewijde distillery managers \u2013 van Murdo Reed tot Colin Ross, Iain Henderson en meer \u2013 werd deze whisky een tijdscapsule van Laphroaig\u2019s vakmanschap en veerkracht. Dit is niet zomaar een fles. Dit is 38 jaar passie, geduld en pure peat power. Eerst gerijpt in ex-bourbon vaten, daarna verder ontwikkeld in second-fill Oloroso sherry butts.
