Tijd om de Big Peat F\u00e8is \u00ccle 2025 open te trekken \u2014 gebotteld op een respectabele 50% ABV. Geen flauwekul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1280 \/ 720;\" width=\"1280\" controls src=\"https:\/\/www.thedutchwhiskyassociation.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/k22X4Gxz.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Big Peat, de ruige eilandbewoner van Douglas Laing, is een blended malt die je vol raakt in je nostalgie: kampvuren, zeelucht en sokken doordrenkt van whisky.<br>Elk jaar tijdens F\u00e8is \u00ccle \u2014 het legendarische Islay whiskyfestival \u2014 duikt hij op met een gelimiteerde editie. En de release van dit jaar? Een goed gerijpte, rokerige dram om rook, muziek en gekte te vieren. F\u00e8is \u00ccle is niet zomaar een festival. Het is een rokerige pelgrimstocht. Live muziek. Open dagen bij de distilleerderijen. Zeldzame bottelingen. Eigenlijk is het Whisky Kerstmis \u2014 maar dan met meer kilts en minder remmingen.<br><br>Maar vandaag bleef ik dichter bij huis. Gewoon ik, een campingstoeltje aan de rivier, en een dram die ruikt als Port Ellen op een stormachtige dag. Een schoonheid. Onmiskenbaar Islay \u2014 maar geen BBQ-bom. Geen asbak-dram. Verfijnd, in balans en vol karakter. De rook blijft hangen, maar is verzacht door de tijd \u2014 dat soort langzame, gracieuze rijping die karakter achterlaat, geen chaos.
