Compass Box duikt in het concept van \u201cteaspooned\u201d whisky, waarbij een single malt juridisch gezien wordt omgezet in een blended malt door een minieme hoeveelheid van een andere whisky toe te voegen. Denk bij voorbeeld aan Burnside (The Balvenie met een theelepel Glenfiddich).
Volgens hen is dit op zichzelf al een beetje onzin en brengt hen tot de vraag: \u201cWanneer is een blend eigenlijk helemaal geen blend?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoals altijd neemt Compass Box een diepgaande en doordachte houding aan ten opzichte van whisky, de regelgeving en gangbare praktijken in de industrie.

Compass Box Nonsense is een blended malt, samengesteld uit:

\u2022 \u201cWestport\u201d Highland Malt, gerijpt in refill sherry butts
\u2022 \u201cWilliamson\u201d Islay Malt, gerijpt in first-fill bourbonvaten en refill American oak hogsheads

Gebotteld op 51% ABV, zonder koude filtratie, licht gefilterd en zonder kunstmatige kleurstoffen. In totaal zullen 4.200 flessen beschikbaar zijn, zoals op het etiket vermeld staat.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
