The Isle of Raasay Distillery heeft zojuist de Raasay D\u00f9n Cana Sherry Quarter Cask: Second Edition<\/strong> gelanceerd. Deze whisky begint zijn rijping in Rye-vaten en wordt vervolgens zes maanden gerijpt in PX- en Oloroso Sherry Quarter Casks.
Licht geturfd en gebotteld op 52% is hij vernoemd naar het hoogste punt van het eiland Raasay.
Het gebruik van kleinere Quarter Casks (125 liter) versnelt het rijpingsproces, waardoor de smaak van de whisky intenser wordt. Hij wordt omschreven als:
“peperige kruiden, gedroogde sultanarozijnen en een vleugje vanille-toffee, met een afdronk van aanhoudende zoute chocolade en een hint van aromatische houtrook.<\/em>“
Alasdair Day, eigenaar en Master Distiller, zegt dat deze uitgave het kernassortiment van de distilleerderij uitbreidt met een unieke twist door de verschillende vatinvloeden in vergelijking met hun kenmerkende single malt. De eerste release van D\u00f9n Cana was snel uitverkocht, en ze kijken ernaar uit om meer edities te brengen aan hun trouwe fans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
