Stauning is een kleine distilleerderij uit Denemarken, met een van de beste origin stories binnen de whisky industrie. Feitelijk waren het gewoon een stel vrienden zonder specifieke expertise in het maken van whisky, waardoor ze hele unieke inzichten kregen in de industrie. Zo hebben ze bijvoorbeeld een automatische moutvloer ontwikkeld die andere distilleerderijen over de hele wereld nu willen implementeren.
